Fadi Hachem
Fadi R. Hachem is an international human rights lawyer, researcher, and peacebuilding specialist focusing on freedom of religion or belief (FoRB), human rights law, conflict mediation, and religion in public life across South West Asia and North Africa. He currently serves as Senior Advisor on Human Rights and FoRB at Adyan Foundation, advising on regional initiatives related to human rights, inclusive citizenship, and religious freedom, while also designing research, policy, and training programs throughout the MENA region.
Fadi has extensive experience collaborating with international organizations, governments, and civil society on issues like human rights, mediation, and legal reform. Furthermore, Fadi is the founder and current expert member of Lebanon’s National Working Group on FoRB, the first platform in the region dedicated to advancing religious freedom at the national level. As a member of the Beirut Bar Association, Fadi practices law in human rights litigation and advocacy, representing victims of rights violations and supporting legal reforms and human rights monitoring efforts in Lebanon and beyond. He has authored numerous reports, policy papers, and academic publications on human rights, religious freedom, minority protection, and peacebuilding. He is currently pursuing a PhD in International Human Rights Law and Religion.
